One thing we are particularly proud of here at a Play, a Pie and a Pint is when we see our writers and actors go on to do other wonderful things.
Here is a selection of works that premiered in the crypt of Oran Mor - which you can revisit this year in other theatres:
Raspberry by Garry Robson and Leigh Stirling, which premiered at a Play, a Pie and a Pint at Oran Mor in November '08, is to be produced at the Tron (31st Mar-3rd Apr) and Traverse (8th April – 10th April) Theatres this coming year.
The Ching Room by Alan Bissett, which premiered at a Play, a Pie and a Pint at Oran Mor in March '09, is to be produced at the Citizens theatre 9-13th of February.
The Deep by Jon Atli Jonasson, which premiered at a Play, a Pie and a Pint at Oran Mor in April '09, has been invited to run at the Tasmanian Festival in 2011. It's a one man show starring Liam Brennan, who we are coincidentally thrilled to have back to Oran Mor starring in our own opening play of the new season, The Secret Commonwealth, written by Catherine Czerkawska.
And If you happen to be one of our distant fans from down under, and want more info on what's gracing your local Antipodean auditorium, be sure to check out this site here, or simply wait until next Monday, when our associate producer Susannah Armitage returns from her "business" travels to Australia, and we'll make sure she writes up all her exciting adventures on this site!
