Christmas time in Glasgow is not so magical when you’re a cab driver dealing with drunken passengers, potholes and never-ending rain.
As Jaz is finally approaching the end of his night shift, he spots a woman running into a street, cradling something in her arms… the contents of which will change his life completely.

KATHARINE WILLIAMS is a writer, lighting designer, and leader of projects. They were lead artist on the Love Letters to the Home Office project and founder of Crew for Calais. Katharine co-founded People Powered which ran in the UK, at the start of the pandemic, to support the NHS and frontline services. Writing credits include: These Are Our Neighbours (about the Kenmure Street immigration protest, developed with the community in Glasgow Southside); Walk With Me (VAULT Festival, London); Love Letters to the Home Office (BAC, London, and Edinburgh Fringe).
Lighting designs, from Shetland to Shanghai, include: The Bacchae (Company of Wolves); Top Girls (Liverpool Everyman); Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Leeds Playhouse and HOME Manchester); Lost At Sea (Perth Theatre and Scottish tour). Directing includes: Daniel Bye and Boff Whalley’s These Hills Are Ours (UK tour).
ROXANA COLE is a stage director for theatre and opera. Her recent shows include Oedipus Rex for the Edinburgh International Festival summer 2024, and an acclaimed outdoor production of La Boheme at Scottish Opera (5* The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Scotsman). She studied at Goldsmiths, University of London, and received an MA in Advanced Theatre Practice from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She has trained in devised theatre, puppetry and physical theatre. She has worked throughout America and Europe, assisting directors including David McVicar, Katie Mitchell and Phelim McDermott. Roxana's most rewarding projects have balanced therapeutic work, engagement and social change. She is currently undertaking an MSc in Dramatherapy at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.
