Rishta is Taqi Nazeer’s playwriting debut as part of the National Theatre of Scotland’s Breakthrough Writers programme.
Taqi trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. His previous acting credits include ‘Beautiful Burnout’; a joint stage production between the National Theatre of Scotland and Frantic Assembly, ‘Heer Ranjha’ by Ankur Productions, ‘Domestic Crusaders’ by Tara Arts, ‘Stowaway’ by Analogue Theatre, ‘Deranged Marriage’ by Rifco Arts, BBC1’s ‘The Replacement’, and ‘The Assessment’, written by journalist and theatre critic Robert Dawson Scott.
