Frankie Vaughan visited Easterhouse in the late 1960’s and mediated between police and gang leaders to bring about a knife amnesty that set into motion a process of change for the beleaguered housing estate. Mr Moonlight is how Frankie’s life-long affinity for Glasgow and its people might have come about.
