Owen Whitelaw trained as an actor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. As a writer he was mentored through Playwrights’ Studio Scotland’s mentorship programme, during which time he wrote his debut play Thole, which is currently under commission at the Traverse Theatre. His radio play Faking It was broadcast on BBC Radio Three in 2019 and has been adapted for the stage under the new title The Storm. He is currently under commission at BBC Radio Four.
