During a live broadcast, a studio audience gets more than it bargains for when the truth behind a best-selling author’s success is exposed. A darkly comic drama exploring the impact of fake news both in the past and in the present.

Owen Whitelaw trained as an actor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Recent credits include The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Heart (National Theatre of Scotland) How To Disappear (Traverse Theatre), Shetland (BBC), Game of Thrones (HBO), and One of Us (Netflix).
As a writer he was mentored through Playwrights’ Studio Scotland’s mentorship programme, during which time he wrote his debut play Thole, which is currently under commission at the Traverse Theatre. His radio play Faking It was broadcast on BBC Radio Three in 2019 and has been adapted for the stage under the new title The Storm.
